| Dear French Teachers: Thank you for your interest in our website, www.espacefrancophone.org, and www.frenchmedia.org, and in our virtual media library. We're making quite a few changes for the 2008-2009 school year, and adding new programs, teacher exercices, and links to partner sites. Here's a summary of some of the changes of which you should be aware: 1. As you may be aware already, our internet site is in two parts: - a website with text, photos and limited sound & video files showing many aspects of France and worldwide francophone society, - an online server of our virtual media library containing video and sound files, either accessed by streaming (no downloading) or by downloading in Quicktime and Iphone file formats. Due to copyright changes, programs may be added or removed at any time. After having a lot of problems with our previous server company, we're transferring our files to www.veoh.com at the following link: www.veoh.com/channels/espacefrancophone Although there is some advertising on the service, these ads don't appear on downloaded files. Thank you for your patience as we transfer programs over to the new server. Please inform us of any technical problems you experience. 2. Those who can't find the programs they want via our online virtual media library may download our order form and return it with one blank DVD or CD (depending on the format desired) for each show. Please note again that programs may be added or subtracted from our list according to copyrights. We often provide links to the distributor's websites so that you may arrange to purchase a program which is no longer available through our services. 3. In any case, all programs which are provided by our offices are for limited free use by teachers in a classroom context and may not be resold, edited into another document or commercialized in any way. 4. We regularly organize workshops to show teachers how programs may be used in the classroom, and to create exercices based both on these materials and textbooks used to teach French.
